Welcome to hi! We are delighted that you'd like to join us in our journey.

Currently, hi is invite-only. New joiners need an invite nickname to create an account and access hi's suite of product and services. If you are looking for a friend's nickname to be invited to sign up, feel free to use "sean".

You can sign up through a variety of our channels - Telegram, WhatsApp, by accessing the Web App, or downloading the iOS or Android Mobile Apps. Just say hi 👋🏼

Can I access one account through multiple channels?

hi recognizes your phone number from different channels. Identity verification (KYC) will ensure that there is only one account for each member.

What personal details do I need to provide to sign up?

Initially, you do not need anything other than your phone number to create a hi account and to communicate through a hi channel. In order to deposit and withdraw money, however, you will need to pass a basic know-your-customer (KYC) identity verification check on WebApp.

What is a nickname?

Your hi nickname is your account username, and what we'll use to identify you. Through hi's services, members are able to send and receiving assets just by specifying a members' nickname.

The nickname I selected is not available. What should I do?

Certain nicknames are protected due to security reasons and need to be claimed. Please select another nickname or write to membersupport@hi.com if you would like to claim your requested nickname.

If you are a business, we will need proof of ownership of the trademark through an official email account of the company.

If you are an individual, we will need proof of ownership of the same username/handle on one of the following platforms: Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube.

How can I change my nickname?

To change your nickname, simply go to Settings > Change Nickname on web.hi.com
